Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna

The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, founded in 1967, is an autonomous, special-statute University operating in the field of applied sciences, i.e. law, medicine, agriculture, engineering, political science, economics and management.
The Institute of Management (IdM) is a part of the Scuola Sant’Anna and operates in the field of management in private and public organizations. During the last decade it has developed towards:
innovation in technological change, organizational 
change, cultural change and political and 
institutional change;
an interdisciplinary approach in teaching 
and research;
the use of quantitative evidence to support decision 
making processes.

The Institute is organized into three areas:

  • Health Management
  • Management of Innovation
  • Sustainability Management (SuM)

The BRAVE project is coordinated by SuM.
The mission of Sum is to combine the knowledge of business management and policy making with the principles of sustainability, through scientific research and empirical investigations on:

  • Environmental Management
  • Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Management
  • Energy Management
  • Waste Management
